Cranked Steel Framed Roof

This steel framed roof was part a new garage build in Poole and offers ample space for garage storage on ground level, along with generous roof space for the clients new home office.
Working from the structural engineers drawing, G&M Steel Structures ltd visited site to obtain correct and final measurements and produced 3D model’s to suit with the inclusion of the timber work, this aided the contractor to visualise the scope of their works required and helped them plan a works schedule and bill of materials.
Working along side the contractor Horizan Build ltd we were able to ensure the deisgn would work inline with the roof timbers. In this instance, G&M Steel Structures had to design all the steel to steel connections as this was not supplied, and email over for the structural engineer to calculate and approve.
This was our first job supplying Horizan Build ltd who were very complimentary regarding our service. This was another project where the contractors self installed the steel work supplied and by forwarding setting out drawings and supplying all steel work clearly labelled, Tim and the team were able to fit and install all steel work in just a few hours.
